Parents Anonymous: Support Groups





The Parents Anonymous group is a safe, accepting, non-judgmental place to talk freely about being a parent. The groups teach parents more effective ways of providing safe and caring homes for their children.

Men of DPN – An evening devoted to “spirited” discussions on topics and issues relative to MEN improving the quality of life in their families, as well as the City of Detroit, Highland Park and Hamtramck. We are dedicated to not just talking about issues, but being “Men of Action”, developing strategies to implement positive change in our communities, schools, and our families! Meetings are held the 3rd Friday of every month from 7:00 –9:00 p.m. every at Youthville, 7375 Woodward Detroit, MI.


Sistah to Sister – Real, straight talk about issues that affect all women. Sisters provide support to others sisters to enhance our daily lives as women, mothers, wives and leaders in our community. Meetings are held the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of every month from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Youthville, 7375 Woodward Detroit, MI.


Divorced Mothers – Get support and help in understanding the complexities of divorce. Meeting are held the 1st & 3rd Tuesday of every month from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Youthville, 7375 Woodward Detroit, MI


Teen Parents – Get support and understand how to transition into parenthood. Meetings are held the 2nd & 4th Saturday of every month from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at Youthville, 7375 Woodward Detroit, MI

Mothers of Inmates - A support group to discuss the issues facing mothers with incarcerated children. Resources and information is provided to participants in a relaxed and supportive environment. Meetings are held every 3rd Wednesday, from 6-8pm at Fellowship Chapel, 7707 W. Outer Drive Detroit Michigan (313)347-2820.


Teen Parent Support- Learn how to transition into parenthood with resource information and support.  Meetings are held the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month from 5pm-7pm at the Children's Center,

Strong Parents, Strong Families - A support group to provide resources and information to parents with physical disabilities. Meetings are held the 2nd & 4th Wednesday for every month from 6pm-8pm, at Southeastern Village, 1501 Canton Street Detroit, Michigan 48201


One Miracle at a Time - A support group for Survivors of Sexual Abuse.  A safe environment to discuss the issues relating to sexual abuse. Meetings are held the 2nd & 4th Saturday  of every month from 12pm-2pm. at Frederick Douglass Library 3666 Grand River Detroit, Michigan


Maintain Weight Loss - A support group to discuss the challenges of loosing and maintaining weight loss. Meeting are held the 2nd & 4th Thursday of every month from 6pm-8pm.
