A number of items out on the web today should be of interest to parents signed on to The Agenda for Detroit Kids:

Rochelle Riley described an audit Robert Bobb is conducting of the DPS's teachers and how they spend their time to ensure that all are teaching students.

The Detroit News editorial board called on Mayor Bing to more forcefully and publicly advocate for control over DPS.

The Free Press Editoral Page Blog listed the recent successes of the city's police department - homicides are down 30% and community relations are imporved. But, they say, there's a long way to go, and will require community members to fight just as hard.
