DPN, DPS team up to involve parents in education
Detroit Parent Network will be helping district parents more effectively help their children in school through "Parent and Community Engagement 2.0," a program by DPS that will open parent involvement centers throughout the city staffed by DPN.
The effort, covered by Detroit News, kicked off Saturday at Renaissance High School. Over 200 parents learned how they could get more involved in their kids' education, and DPN and DPS got input from parents on what resources should be offered at the centers, due to open in April.
What do you think? What resources should be offered at parent involvement centers?
