Agenda for Detroit Kids unveiled at rally

Detroit Parent Network held a Rally For Children on Sept. 23 at Finney High School - over 200 parents, students and community members showed up to support the children of Detroit. It was covered by Fox Detroit, WDET Radio, and Detroit Free Press.

We surveyed more than 2,000 parents to gather input on what the priorities are for Detroiters and from the surveys we developed an Agenda for Detroit Kids. The top priorities were: public safety, quality public schools, out-of-school time activities, family friendly neighborhoods and improved health resources.

Detroit Parent Network's Agenda for Detroit Kids not only calls on the city to step up and help the residents, but asks parents to become more active in the lives of their children and the community.
