Detroit Parent Network is your organization. Every member has the skills to help build the strongest resource center available to parents in Detroit!

Volunteer opportunities may include:

• Making reminder phone calls
• Distributing flyers and other materials
• Assist with children’s activities (requires criminal background check)
• Facilitate and/or assist with PA support groups
• Organize parents to work in schools
• Train other parents
• Data entry
• Graphic design and other computer related publications
• Photograph events
• Videotape special events
• Compose packets and information
• Staff information booths
• Make presentations on behalf of Detroit Parent Network
• Attend school board/committee meetings
• Plan regular events such as:the Meet & Greet Membership Party!
• Door to Door outreach in neighborhoods
• Help plan special events like our Annual Breakfast!
• Join working committees/chairing committees
• Staff events
• Make copies and help with mailings
• Help staff our friendly reception desk!
• Recruit new members
• Get trained to start a class in the community

Some of our volunteer opportunities, such as facilitating workshops and making presentations, require additional training, which you will receive free as a member of the Network.
