Volunteer

Detroit Parent Network is your organization. Every member has the skills to help build the strongest resource center available to parents in Detroit!

Volunteer opportunities may include:

• Assisting with promotion (flyer distribution, phone banking, etc.)
• Assisting with children’s activities (requires criminal background check)
• Facilitating or assisting with Parents Anonymous support groups, parent trainings and workshops
• Data entry, copying and other clerical work
• Graphic design for publications and flyers
• Photograping or videotaping at DPN events
• Staffing membership and outreach tables
• Making presentations on behalf of Detroit Parent Network
• Supporting special events such as the monthly Member Meet & Greets,the Annual Breakfast, Family Fun Day and Parent Leadership Conference
• Door to Door outreach in neighborhoods (in summer)
• Joining working committees/chairing committees
• Staffing our friendly reception desk
• Providing extra support at our Parent Resource Centers

Some of our volunteer opportunities, such as facilitating workshops and making presentations, require additional training, which you can receive for free as a member of Detroit Parent Network.
